Established in 2000/01, Straddie Island News is an independent community publication dedicated to the people, places, stories and life of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island).

For more than 25 years, Straddie Island News has recorded the changing life of the island — its community, environment, arts, culture, events, businesses and the people who make Straddie what it is.

It is both a contemporary publication and an archive: a record of island life captured through journalism, photography and the voices of the community.
